Adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021 period

Delegates attending the 12th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council.

Implementing the adjustment of the medium-term public investment plan of the state budget for the period 2021 - 2025, and adjusting the public investment plan for 2023, after reviewing, the Provincial People's Committee proposed the Provincial People's Council to reduce 72,368 billion VND (71,868 billion VND of 10 projects and 500 million VND unallocated); at the same time, adjust to increase 72,368 billion VND for 6 projects (30.6 billion VND lower than the proposed increase and decrease in Submission No. 4943/TTr-UBND dated October 23, 2023).

The meeting also reviewed the capital structure and disbursement progress of capital sources for the project of Preservation and Restoration of the Him Lam Resistance Center (Phase II) and the 7-storey classroom building project, the Provincial Political School Library; and the project completion progress according to the set plan.

Provincial People's Council delegates voted to elect additional members of the People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

After discussion and consideration, the Provincial People's Council delegates voted to pass 5 Resolutions submitted at the meeting with a high number of votes in favor.

The Provincial People's Council also voted to dismiss the following people from the position of member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term: Colonel Ngo Quang Tuan, former Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Bui Minh Hai, former Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. At the same time, Colonel Le Van Son, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, was elected as an additional member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council delivered the closing speech of the meeting.

In his closing speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Lo Van Phuong suggested: In order to promptly and effectively implement the Resolution passed by the Provincial People's Council, immediately after the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee should urgently organize the implementation, direct relevant agencies and units to complete investment procedures according to regulations for projects; effectively manage and use investment capital sources according to regulations, ensuring the disbursement rate according to the set plan. Propose that the Provincial People's Council delegates inform voters about the results of the meeting, and strengthen supervision of the implementation of the Resolution.
