Nghe An is the largest province in the country, a difficult province with 85% of the area being mountainous, natural disasters, floods, and epidemics often affecting agricultural production. However, in recent years, the Party Committee and provincial government have strived and in the past 5 years, Nghe An agriculture has maintained a growth rate of about 4.7% - 1.5 times higher than the national average growth rate. High-tech agricultural production accounts for nearly 10%. Nghe An also identifies the current trend of developing a green economy, a circular economy, and a knowledge economy as important, and to develop sustainable agriculture, it is necessary to apply science, technology, and a knowledge economy.

In recent times, Nghe An has attracted 6 high-tech agricultural projects. Leading the way is TH Group, which has applied circular production processes very early.
