Being treated at Thien Hanh General Hospital, Ms. NTN (born in 1976) said that the 11 people on the bus were employees of a cosmetics company in Hanoi traveling to the Central Highlands provinces.

At noon on October 8, a 16-seat car from a travel company branch in Dak Lak picked up 11 people in the group, along with a driver and tour guide, from Dak Lak to go to Gia Lai .

"While everyone was sleeping, suddenly there was a loud noise. Immediately after that, the car swayed and flipped over, everyone screamed and panicked. My head was stuck between two rows of seats, and it took about 15 minutes for people to rescue me. I suffered a soft tissue injury on my head and a broken foot," said Ms. N.

16-seat driver Pham Phu Quy (born in 1987, residing in Dak Lak province) said that when the car was approaching the slope on the Buon Ho town bypass, he discovered a truck going downhill and encroaching on his lane.

Mr. Quy kept flashing his lights and honking his horn, but the truck driver continued to drive on the opposite side of the road. When the truck approached, Mr. Quy panicked and swerved to the left side to avoid the truck, but the truck hit him on the passenger side.

According to Mr. Quy, if he had not dodged in time, the two cars would have crashed head-on and the consequences would have been even more severe. In addition, if there had not been a guardrail on the side of the road, the car would have plunged into the abyss.
