Vietnam women's volleyball team enters semi-finals of Shanghai international tournament

VHO - After defeating the Canadian U21 women's volleyball team in the quarterfinals, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the right to enter the semi-finals of the Shanghai Future Stars 2025 International Volleyball Tournament, currently taking place in Shanghai (China).

After winning the VTV Cup 2025 runner-up position, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team sent a second team with players who have not played regularly in recent times, under the guidance of coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa, to participate in the Shanghai Future Stars 2025 International Volleyball Tournament.

The Vietnamese women's team has entered the top 4.

This is the second consecutive year that the Vietnamese women's team has participated in Shanghai Future Stars, a tournament that brings together many young teams from developed volleyball backgrounds around the world .

In this year's tournament, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group A with U21 China, U21 France and U21 Sesi Bauru (Brazil).

At the end of the group stage, coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and her team won second place with 2 wins against U21 France and U21 Sesi Bauru and 1 loss against U21 China.

In the quarter-final match that took place this afternoon, July 17, the Vietnamese girls won convincingly 3-0 against U21 Canada.

The Vietnamese women's team only had difficulty in the first set when they won with difficulty 26-24.

But in the next 2 sets, Kieu Trinh and her teammates showed their superiority when they won 25-13 and 25-16 respectively.

A convincing 3-0 (26-24, 25-13, 25-16) victory over U21 Canada helped the Vietnamese women's team enter the semi-finals and will meet the winner of the match between U21 Netherlands and U21 France.
