On March 15, in Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Cang Saigon Corporation held a ceremony to receive the title of Hero of Labor on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of its Traditional Day (March 15, 1989 - March 15, 2024). This is the second time Tan Cang Saigon Corporation has been honored to receive the title of Hero of Labor.
After 35 years of development, Saigon Newport Corporation (TCSG) has always maintained the No. 1 position in Vietnam in the field of port exploitation and logistics services, making important contributions to the country's economic development associated with protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
In particular, in the past 10 years, TCSG Corporation has made remarkable progress and achieved impressive achievements, deeply integrating internationally in the trend of digitalization and greening, bringing the Tan Cang Saigon brand "Reaching the world - connecting globally". Up to now, the scale of port facilities of TCSG Corporation operates across 17 key provinces and cities from the South to the North.
The facilities of TCSG Corporation play the role of a gateway for import and export of goods, contributing greatly to the country's import and export tax revenue. Particularly at Tan Cang - Cat Lai port, the largest and most modern port in Vietnam, ranked 30th in the world in terms of output, the annual average import and export turnover of goods through the port accounts for about 21% of the country, import and export tax revenue accounts for about 26% of the total budget revenue of the entire Customs sector, from 17% -20% of the budget revenue of Ho Chi Minh City, about 6% of the total national budget revenue.

This is also a leading enterprise in implementing military, civil, social security, and community responsibility. In the past 10 years alone, TCSG has spent more than 400 billion VND on social security and charitable activities, focusing on participating in the movements "Joining hands to build new rural areas", "Joining hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", taking care of and supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, martyrs' relatives, sponsoring fishermen's children, building houses of gratitude, comrades' houses...
At the ceremony, on behalf of the President, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, awarded the title of Labor Hero to TCSG Corporation. On this occasion, TCSG Corporation donated 5 billion VND to the "For the Poor" Fund of 25 provinces and cities. This amount was voluntarily contributed by officers, employees and workers in the TCSG system.
