According to some sources, Germany has transferred two MANTIS air defense systems to Slovakia – a country that shares a border with Ukraine.

Sharing on social network X (formerly Twitter) on October 25, the German army announced that Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the German army Markus Laubenthal had handed over the MANTIS weapon system to Slovakia, aiming to send "a strong signal of solidarity".
Slovakia borders Ukraine and is currently facing a “constant threat”, including from stray air assets.
MANTIS is expected to be deployed to protect a German industrial maintenance facility in eastern Slovakia that repairs military equipment from Ukraine.
In addition, Germany's Patriot air defense system has been deployed in Slovakia to protect NATO airspace.
According to the German federal army, MANTIS has a range of up to 3 km and can intercept incoming objects at a rate of fire of up to 1,000 bullets per minute.
