Ericsson and PTIT cooperate to train 5G knowledge for students

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoC) was signed on August 28 between Ms. Rita Mokbel, Director of Ericsson Vietnam, and Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, Principal of PTIT, under the witness of Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung.

Within the framework of cooperation, Ericsson will provide the Ericsson Educate digital learning platform to PTIT students, opening up opportunities to access a variety of learning resources.

Ericsson will also collaborate on research with PTIT in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, and provide students with work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities such as project work and internships.

In addition, Ericsson will support the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in skills enhancement initiatives, preparing for the nationwide deployment of 5G.

Ericsson Educate is a comprehensive digital skills portal, providing foundational knowledge across key technology areas such as 5G, AI, machine learning, automation, blockchain, cloud computing, data science , IoT and telecommunications.

By integrating content from the Ericsson Educate platform, students and professionals at PTIT have access to high-quality digital learning resources that leverage Ericsson’s extensive expertise in telecommunications and information and communications technology (ICT).

This is the second time Ericsson has officially partnered with an educational institution in Vietnam under the 'Ericsson Educate' program, demonstrating the company's strong commitment to accompanying Vietnam on its digital transformation journey. With the goal of becoming a digital economy , improving students' skills in 5G and advanced technologies will help Vietnam fully exploit the potential of 5G, accelerating the country's digitalization process.

Ms. Rita Mokbel, Director of Ericsson Vietnam, shared: "The cooperation between Ericsson and PTIT is an important step forward in developing a highly skilled workforce, which is a key factor in Vietnam's digital transformation process. Through this partnership, Ericsson wishes to contribute to building a strong ecosystem to support Vietnam's digital future."

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, shared: “The partnership with Ericsson will help our students access knowledge about advanced technologies such as 5G, AI, automation, Machine Learning, and many other fields, as well as receive practical experience and insights in the industry. This will help them effectively utilize these technologies as soon as they join the workforce, contributing to promoting the country on the journey towards a digital economy."

Ericsson aims to support Vietnam's Industry 4.0 agenda and digital economy goals by educating students, deploying modern infrastructure, and encouraging developers to create new applications.
