At Ban Ve Hydropower Plant, at 2:00 a.m. on July 23, a major flood occurred with a peak flow of up to 12,800 m³/s, exceeding the peak flood level of 10,500 m³/s (corresponding to a frequency of 0.02%). In accordance with the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure and the direction of local authorities, Ban Ve Hydropower Plant successfully reduced 74% of the flood flow, ensuring the safety of the project and minimizing damage to the downstream area. Information and warning work was carried out transparently and promptly, contributing to stabilizing public opinion and raising community awareness of the role of reservoirs in disaster mitigation.

During the month, the water frequency at most of the Corporation's hydropower reservoirs was at a good level, creating favorable conditions for operation. The hydropower reservoirs have promoted the dual efficiency in power generation and natural disaster prevention, continuing to perform well the role of flood reduction and water retention for downstream areas.
EVNGENCO1 produced 2.167 billion kWh of electricity in July 2025. In the first 7 months of the year, the total output of the Corporation reached 20.851 billion kWh, equivalent to 56% of the annual plan. Power plants continued to maintain stable and safe operations. Maintenance and repair work was carried out on schedule, contributing to improving the reliability and availability of generators. For thermal power plants, fuel supply was ensured, inventory volume was maintained in accordance with regulations, fully meeting actual operating needs. Environmental protection work continued to be strictly implemented by EVNGENCO1 and its units.
Regarding construction investment (CIP), by the end of July 2025, the project implementation volume reached 66.7%, the disbursement value reached 66.4% compared to the assigned plan. EVNGENCO1 is actively coordinating with localities and central authorities to accelerate procedures and progress of implementing new power source projects - one of the strategic focuses in the period 2025 - 2030. The Corporation continues to promote the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, towards the goal of becoming a digital enterprise.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Corporation and its member units organized a series of practical gratitude activities, presenting hundreds of gifts to policy families. In particular, immediately after the historic flood in Nghe An province, EVNGENCO1 and its units promptly organized visits, shared, and presented a total support amount of 1.3 billion VND to people in the affected communes, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and social responsibility of the Corporation.
Entering August 2025, the peak of the rainy and stormy season, EVNGENCO1 identified the key task as ensuring safe and stable operation of the power generation system, striving to complete the output plan of 2.683 billion kWh. The entire Corporation continues to maintain a reliable operating mode, improving the availability and operational efficiency of generators.
The thermal power sector strengthens fuel assurance work, maintains optimal inventory levels according to regulations; at the same time, develops appropriate repair and maintenance plans, minimizing impacts on production and business activities.
For hydropower, units continue to closely monitor hydrological developments, closely coordinate with the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company and local authorities to have plans to operate reservoirs, ensuring safety of works and downstream areas during the rainy and stormy season.
Investment and construction work, especially new power source projects, will be the key task of EVNGENCO1 in 2025. At the same time, the application of science and technology, digital transformation and environmental protection will still be implemented synchronously, contributing to maintaining stable and sustainable development throughout the Corporation.
