The number of users reporting Facebook errors increased dramatically at 10:20 p.m. on March 5 (Screenshot).

At around 10:20 p.m. on March 5, many Facebook users in Vietnam were suddenly unable to use the social network Facebook.

Not only in Vietnam, this incident is also happening globally.

According to social network health monitoring site Downdetector , more than 100,000 users worldwide have reported errors on the Facebook social network platform.

Many users reported that this issue occurred on both the Facebook platform and the Messenger messaging app. The issue appeared on both the web and mobile platforms.

According to the reporter's records, not only Facebook, the problem also occurred with a series of other Meta platforms such as the Messenger messaging application, Instagram social network, and Threads.

Some Instagram users reported that their feeds were unable to refresh even when their internet connection was maintained.

On social media platform X, the hashtags "#instagramdown" and "#facebookdown" quickly became a trend and received a lot of attention.

Meta shares fell more than 1%.

"We know people are having trouble accessing our services. We're working to fix the issue right now," Andy Stone, a Meta spokesperson, said in a post on social media platform X.

In addition, many TikTok and YouTube users also reported connection problems and were unable to watch videos on these two platforms. According to Downdetector, most users encountered errors connecting to the server. The problem was recorded on both the web and application platforms.

By around 11:20 p.m., Facebook was back online. Facebook has yet to comment on the cause of the outage.
