Facebook users in some areas have been facing a serious technical issue, with users unable to view their own posts or those of others. The problem began on the morning of April 16 and as of noon the same day, it had not been resolved.
According to many users, their posts and those of their friends are not showing up on their personal pages. This is a bad experience, as many people think that they may have been blocked by their friends.
"At first I thought I had been blocked by my friends on Facebook so I couldn't see their posts, but after contacting them I found out everyone was experiencing the same thing," one social media user shared.
On the Down Detector statistics page, from 9:59 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on April 16, there were nearly 600 reports of errors occurring with the Facebook social networking platform. Most of the reporters said they could not view posts on their personal pages.
Up to now, Facebook has not made any announcement about the specific cause or expected time to fix the problem. It is known that posts on the Newsfeed are still displayed normally.
This incident not only affected the user experience but also raised concerns about the reliability of the system. Previously, on March 5, Facebook experienced a global outage for about 3 hours, affecting hundreds of millions of users. This incident caused the parent company Meta to lose billions of dollars.
