After going to collect the debt but not meeting the debtor, Le Thi Ngoc Bich came up with the idea of capturing Ms. N. (the debtor's roommate), beating her, and then selling her to a disguised refreshment shop to sell sex to customers. Song Hinh District Police promptly rescued her, prosecuted the defendant, and temporarily detained the related subjects.
On August 18, a source of SGGP Newspaper reported that the Song Hinh District Police ( Phu Yen Province) had just safely rescued a woman who was sold into prostitution, and at the same time prosecuted and temporarily detained three subjects: Le Thi Ngoc Bich (born in 2005, residing in Cung Son town, Son Hoa district), Le Nhu Bao (born in 1991, residing in Hai Rieng town, Song Hinh district) and Truong Thi My Nuong (born in 1991, residing in Ea Bia commune, Song Hinh district) to investigate the act of "Buying and selling people".
According to the investigation agency, on August 8, 2024, Le Thi Ngoc Bich and a group of people came to collect debt from a woman, but could not meet her. Seeing that Ms. N. (born in 2006, residing in Ea Trol commune, Song Hinh district) was sharing a room with the debtor, Bich forced Ms. N. back into the room and beat her. After that, Bich contacted and agreed to sell Ms. N. to a disguised beverage shop in Nhum village, Ea Bia commune, Song Hinh district owned by Le Nhu Bao for 20 million VND. After that, Truong Thi My Nuong (Bao's cousin) came to Bich to hand over the money and took Ms. N. to Bao's shop. Here, Ms. N. was confined behind the house and forced by the shop owner to sell sex to customers. The owner of the shop kept all the money from the sex work and spent it for personal use.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Investigation Police Agency of Song Hinh District Police mobilized all forces, quickly deployed professional measures, conducted investigation, verification and emergency search of the subjects' residence, and rescued Ms. N. safely.
Immediately after this timely rescue, the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Song Hinh District unexpectedly awarded Song Hinh District Police for their outstanding achievements in the fight against human trafficking crimes.
