Editor-in-Chief of Da Nang Newspaper Nguyen Duc Nam - Head of the Organizing Committee spoke at the meeting.

Athletes compete in individual, team and group events, distances of 1.5km, 2km, 3km, 4km, 5km and 7km; and compete in 9 groups, including: junior high school; high school; agencies, enterprises, schools and amateur athletes; districts; militia (wards, communes); self-defense of agencies, enterprises, local troops; main force troops and professional athletes.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Da Nang Newspaper Tran Thi Thu Thuy said that the Da Nang Newspaper Traditional Armed Cross-Country Race is usually held every December to celebrate the founding day of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22) and the 33rd anniversary of the National Defense Day.

However, unfavorable weather affected the organization and competition of the athletes. With the consensus of the organizing committee members and the consent of the City People's Committee, from last season, the tournament was held on the occasion of the anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30). In the first change of competition time (2023), the tournament took place smoothly, successfully, and had a great influence.

Looking forward to the 27th season, Da Nang Newspaper has developed a plan and closely coordinated with relevant units in the preparation work. In addition to awarding medals and souvenir flags to athletes and units with high achievements, this year, the organizing committee continues to award certificates to athletes participating in the tournament. This is the recognition and encouragement of the organizing committee for athletes who contributed to the success of the tournament.

The opening ceremony and the tournament's competitions were broadcast live on Da Nang Radio and Television Station.
