The Argentine coach believes that no victory is easy. “I am very satisfied with my players. We can see that this season, any team that wants to win is not easy. After 2 matches, we have 4 points. I am satisfied with this and will focus on the next match against the Thai team.”
Having scored only one goal in two matches (not counting the goal from the 10m free kick in the match against China), the coach of the Vietnamese futsal team admitted that finishing is a problem for the players. “It is true that we have problems with finishing. The results could have been better in the last two matches if we had done well in the final stages. We defended well. In attack, we created many chances but we need to be calmer in our decisive passes and shots. I think this is normal when you are playing in a World Cup qualifying tournament, when there is a lot of pressure, but I hope the whole team will be calmer and finish better in the next match,” said coach Diego Giustozzi.
Coach Giustozzi said the players need to improve their finishing ability.
The head coach of the Vietnam futsal team believes that the victory belongs to the whole team: “It is very difficult to choose who played the best. As you can see, in the 80 minutes of the last two matches, the Vietnam team always promoted team spirit. Every individual played and completed their tasks, especially the new players, those who played in the World Cup qualifiers for the first time. I am very satisfied with the whole team.”
The 2024 AFC Futsal Championship is also the qualifying round for the Futsal World Cup. The four strongest teams will qualify directly for the world tournament. The goal of the Vietnamese team is to qualify for the Futsal World Cup for the third consecutive time.
