On the evening of August 24, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) announced that it had completed the selection of a contractor for "Construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal" (Package No. 5.10) of Component Project 3 - Essential works in the airport under the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project (Long Thanh Airport) Phase 1.

ACV said it has posted the Decision approving the contractor selection results on the national bidding network.

ACV also said that on August 24, ACV sent a document announcing the results of the contractor selection to all participating contractors. Accordingly, the winning contractor is the VIETUR Joint Venture, including: IC Ictas Construction Industry and Trade Group (leading member of the Joint Venture); Ricons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; Newtecons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; SOL E&C Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; ATAD Structure Joint Stock Company; Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC; HAWEE Electromechanical Joint Stock Company; Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation; Phuc Hung Holdings Construction Joint Stock Company and Hanoi Construction Corporation - JSC with the winning bid price of VND 27,813,939,171,360 and USD 338,849,804. The contract implementation period is 1,170 days (equivalent to 39 months) from the effective date of the contract.

Excavation and leveling work of Long Thanh airport project phase 1 has been basically completed, ready for the commencement of important works.

The "Construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal" package is the largest package, with the most complex technical nature and the longest construction time among the packages of Component Project 3 - Essential works in the airport of the Long Thanh Airport Construction Investment Project Phase 1.

ACV said that the package "Construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal" of Long Thanh airport, phase 1, is expected to start immediately after the contract is signed (August 31 - PV).
