Hanoi transfers 87 cases with signs of crime to the investigation agency

The Hanoi Party Committee's Steering Committee on anti-corruption and anti-negativity has transferred 87 cases with signs of crime to the investigation agency.


On November 14, the Steering Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee on anti-corruption and anti-negativity held a meeting to discuss the situation and results of activities in recent times, and key tasks for the last months of 2024.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai assessed that in 2024, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity will be directed and implemented methodically and synchronously by the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and the Steering Committee of the City Party Committee.

According to the Secretary of Hanoi, the city's units have transferred 87 cases with signs of crime to the investigation agency for handling according to regulations.

Investigation, prosecution and trial work continued to be promoted, promptly investigating and strictly handling many serious and complicated corruption and negative cases that attracted public attention.

The head of the Hanoi Party Committee added that in 2024, the Steering Committee agreed to end the direction of handling 21/45 cases under monitoring and direction because the settlement had been completed according to regulations.

For the remaining 24 cases, the Steering Committee assigned the Party Committee of the City People's Court to directly monitor and direct the acceleration of the settlement of 8 cases; assigned the Party Committees of judicial agencies to continue directing the city's prosecution agencies to settle 1 case.

At the same time, continue to monitor and direct the handling of 15 serious, complicated corruption and negative cases that have attracted public attention.

Ms. Hoai directed Party committees and organizations at all levels to continue to strengthen leadership, direction and effective implementation of Party guidelines and State policies and laws on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

At the same time, strictly handle cadres and party members involved in corruption and negative cases; promptly resign, dismiss, replace, and assign other jobs to disciplined cadres and those with limited capacity.

In addition, it is necessary to improve the effectiveness of self-inspection and inspection to detect and handle corruption, waste, and negativity within the organization. Focus on directing the resolution of petitions, complaints, denunciations, reflections, and recommendations on corruption, waste, negativity, and prolonged complaints and denunciations.

Especially complaints and denunciations related to leaders and managers at all levels to prepare well for personnel for Party congresses at all levels in the next term.
