The exhibition has 60 booths, displaying and introducing OCOP products, traditional craft village products of enterprises, rural industrial establishments, and artisans in Quoc Oai district. In addition, there is an area displaying typical and unique craft village products of Quoc Oai district. Through the exhibition, organizations and individuals can approach, learn, connect creative design activities, promote ideas, meet and suit the needs and tastes of customers. From there, contribute to the development and formation of a destination for creative design, introducing, promoting and selling OCOP products, craft villages associated with tourism .
This exhibition is the fourth event in a series of events promoting and trading OCOP products and craft villages serving tourism under the Plan for Developing Creative Design Centers, introducing, promoting and selling OCOP products and craft villages associated with tourism in districts and towns in Hanoi in 2024. The plan aims to create an environment for connecting artisans, skilled workers, young designers with the spirit of entrepreneurship, promoting local cultural advantages, and the economic development aspirations of the community in craft villages in districts and towns of the city. In 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over the recognition of the model of Creative Design Centers, introducing, promoting and selling OCOP products and craft villages associated with tourism at the commune level for districts in the city. In particular, Tan Hoa commune, Quoc Oai district is one of 6 locations proposed to be recognized as a model of Creative Design Center, introducing, promoting and selling OCOP products, craft village products associated with commune-level tourism in 2024.
Quoc Oai district currently has 22 artisans from craft villages who have been awarded by the State. Among them, there is one Meritorious Artisan awarded by the President and 21 artisans recognized by the city. In addition, there are hundreds of artisans and skilled workers in the district who have been honored. "We hope that after being recognized, this will be a bright spot in the development of the Creative Design Center model, becoming a place for exchange, connection, and a place to display craft village products. At the same time, it will be a driving force to develop more Creative Design Center models in the district," said Nguyen Dinh Thang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade. The exhibition will take place from November 7 to 10, 2024.
