The categories are divided by region and a global category (27 awards) honoring hotels, destinations, tour operators, holes, broadcasters, brands... in golf.
In which, Vietnam has 2 awards.
First, Hanoi (Vietnam) was honored at the World's Best Golf City Destination 2024 award.
Accordingly, Hanoi surpassed other strong competitors such as London (UK), New York (USA), Paris (France), Rome (Italy) to reach the above title, according to the unit's official website.
In addition, in the Asia category, Vietnam won the Asia's Best Golf Destination 2024 award, followed by China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand.
In total, Vietnam has been voted "Asia's Best Golf Destination" eight times and won the "World's Best Golf City" award twice.
According to the National Tourism Administration, Vietnam is considered a leading golf destination in Asia thanks to its beautiful landscape and favorable tropical climate for building infrastructure and developing golf tourism.
According to preliminary statistics, our country has about 100 18-hole golf courses and practice grounds in operation. In the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy approved by the Prime Minister, infrastructure development and golf tourism product development are among the key orientations.
