On the afternoon of January 12, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club announced that it had "satisfactorily resolved the dispute" with player Martin Dzilah. The mountain town team also completed procedures and provided a plane ticket for this foreign player to return home as soon as possible. In addition, HAGL said that Martin Dzilah submitted a request to FIFA to lift the transfer ban on the team.

This announcement was posted by HAGL with a photo of Martin Dzilah and technical director Vu Tien Thanh. Both were holding the settlement agreement.

Previously, the World Football Federation (FIFA) issued an indefinite transfer ban on HAGL. The reason was that the mountain town team did not pay the $29,000 fine imposed by the organization to striker Martin Dzilah.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai announced that it has resolved the dispute with player Martin Dzilah and is waiting for the World Football Federation (FIFA) to lift the transfer ban.

At the beginning of the 2023/2024 season, Martin Dzilah played 3 matches for the mountain town team, then got injured and had his contract terminated. The two sides agreed that Martin would be compensated 20,000 USD.

A few months later, Martin filed a lawsuit against HAGL with FIFA, claiming that he had not received the money. According to the player's accusation, he signed a paper confirming that he had received the money but the money was never transferred.

HAGL confirmed that they had paid in full and provided evidence of the meeting between the two parties. Martin signed the relevant documents and took souvenir photos. The mountain town football team also reported to the authorities that Martin Dzilah's behavior showed signs of slander and fraud.

Martin Dzilah has remained in Vietnam to resolve the dispute throughout the past time. This player has been working with the police since the end of October 2024. During his stay in Vietnam, Martin Dzilah has not signed a contract with any new club. He participates in some grassroots football matches to earn extra money to cover expenses.
