Two Vietnamese students won second prize in international science and technology competition: It feels great!

Two students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (HCMC) shared their thoughts after winning second prize at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the US on May 17, 2024.
On the afternoon of May 21, 2024, Nguyen Le Quoc Bao and Le Tuan Hy, two students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (HCMC), who won second prize at the International Science and Technology Fair (ISEF) in the US, arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport, HCMC. Many teachers and friends went directly to the airport to welcome the two boys who had just won the international award. In particular, Vice Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung and the Board of Directors of the HCMC Department of Education and Training were present at Tan Son Nhat Airport to welcome and congratulate the students.
Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Department of Education and Training congratulate teachers and 2 students who won international awards.

Nguyen Le Quoc Bao and Le Tuan Hy participated in the competition with the project Deep Learning Integrated Software to segment and reconstruct the monolithic heart structure in 3D simulation space for medical practice applications. This project won the second prize in the System Software category and the fourth special prize awarded by the American Association for Information Technology. This is also the only team from the 2024 Vietnamese delegation participating in the competition to win an award.
