In recent days, thousands of Chinese people have entered Vietnam through Mong Cai International Border Gate.

Specifically, in the past 2 days, there were nearly 9,500 people entering and exiting through the Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dongxing (China) international border gate. Of these, 5,144 people entered the country; 4,349 people exited the country.

On March 16 alone, the number of people entering and exiting through Mong Cai International Border Gate reached 5,337 people, an increase of about 1,200 people compared to March 15. Of which, 3,006 people entered the country; 2,331 people exited the country.

Faced with the increasing number of people entering and exiting the country, to be ready to welcome Chinese tourists, especially during the upcoming peak season, businesses in the service supply chain from travel agencies, restaurants, hotels, and destinations in the province have proactively upgraded their facilities, ensuring conditions for serving tourists; strengthening connections to create a diverse chain of experiences such as combining relaxation with exploring nature, culture, cuisine or connecting many destinations in one journey.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of Mong Cai City People's Committee, said that the locality requested the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism to organize a recruitment council and issue tour guide cards by the end of March.

In addition, in response to the requirement to conduct SARS-CoV-2 PCR testing for people leaving for China, Mong Cai City has requested that authorities arrange adequate medical supplies to meet the needs of residents and tourists.
