On March 9 (February 10 of the lunar calendar), the People's Committee of Ninh Giang district organized the Tranh Temple Festival 2025 at the Tranh Temple area, Tranh Xuyen Residential Area, Ninh Giang town, Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong province. |

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Pham Tat Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, and representatives of the Department of Heritage, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. |

The festival commemorates the merits of Quan Lon Tuan Tranh - a high-ranking official in the Four Palaces system of the Mother Goddess religion. This is a festival with a long history, and was ranked as a National Historical and Cultural Relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2009. |

The traditional festival of Tranh Temple was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2022. In 2023, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province recognized the National Architectural and Artistic Relic of Tranh Temple as a tourist destination. |

The highlight is the drum performance staged by the District People's Committee. This is the first time at the Tranh Temple Festival that there is a drum performance imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity. |

The procession is divided into many parts including the dragon and unicorn team, the flag and umbrella team, the eight precious stones team and the palanquin procession team... |

People and organizations display offerings including pigs, sticky rice, fruits... as the procession passes by. |

The water intake area is located at the Luoc River junction, a large stream of the Red River flowing from Hung Yen to Hai Duong, around Tranh Xuyen village. Tranh Xuyen people call this river Chanh River. |

Tranh Temple Festival is held for 3 days from March 7-9 with many rituals. Folk games are held continuously during the festival days such as smashing clay pots, catching loach in jars, blindfolded goat catching, traditional wrestling, crossing bridges on land, air volleyball, volleyball, clay firecrackers, pushing sticks, etc. |
