The Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) in collaboration with Kim Dong Publishing House and Lan Tinh Foundation introduces a special exhibition titled "From Doraemon to Doraemon: 30 years of the robot cat's journey in Vietnam".

Taking place from September 13-22, the exhibition is an opportunity for fans of the famous Japanese comic series to look back on the work's development since its debut in Vietnam in 1992.

The exhibition focuses on 3 main stages: Unlicensed Doraemon version (1992), Copyrighted version (1998) and Doraemon version (2010).

Each stage reflects not only the development of the series, but also changes in social awareness and the development of the comic publishing industry in Vietnam.

Through changes in editing and publishing, the exhibition presents how Doraemon has reflected and accompanied the country's socio-cultural changes.

Curator ChuKim has created a space for the audience to contemplate the past, from childhood to the present. The exhibition is not only a place to display images and artifacts, but also an opportunity for viewers to gain a deeper understanding of Doraemon's cultural journey in Vietnam that has lasted more than 30 years.

In addition, the exhibition also opens up a space for exchange, where artists, researchers and fans can share their views and feelings about the influence of Doraemon/Doraemon in life.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a roundtable discussion "Comic book copyright in Vietnam over three decades" will also be held on the morning of September 22.

It can be said that since its launch, Doraemon has spread to many countries around the world , quickly capturing the hearts of children and becoming an indispensable part of the childhood of many generations.

The funny and interesting stories of the robot cat from the future are not only entertaining, but also convey meaningful life lessons.

With these magical treasures, children are inspired to be imaginative and creative, and learn about friendship, courage and sharing. These lessons are not only valuable in Japanese culture but also in line with the traditional values of the Vietnamese people.

Doraemon is not only appealing to children, but also a bridge between generations. Many parents have grown up with this series and now experience familiar stories with their children. This helps strengthen family bonds, creating beautiful memories and meaningful conversations between parents and children.

With its humane messages and ability to inspire creativity, Doraemon is truly a wonderful gift to Vietnamese children. The series not only brings joy but also contributes to shaping their personality and life values.
