According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting early on August 8, the low pressure area in the North East Sea has strengthened into a tropical depression.
At 4am this morning, the center of the tropical depression was over the eastern sea of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 (39-49km/h), gusting to level 8.
It is forecasted that during the day and tonight, the tropical depression will move west-northwest at a speed of 10-15km/h, with little chance of strengthening.
At 4am tomorrow morning, the center of the tropical depression will be about 560km northeast of Hoang Sa archipelago, the strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression will remain at level 6, gusting to level 8.
During tomorrow day and night, the tropical depression will move northwest at a speed of 5-10km/h and gradually weaken into a low pressure area over the northwest sea of the North East Sea.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression, in the northeastern sea of the North East Sea, there are thunderstorms and strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8, rough seas, and waves 2-3m high.
In addition, today and tonight, the eastern sea area of the northern and central East Sea will have showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and large waves./.
