Notably, Da Nang has made it into the top 10 Asian cities with the highest rate of returning visitors for the first time. This vibrant coastal city has officially entered the group of most attractive destinations in Asia, reflecting the growing appeal of Vietnam on the regional tourism map.
The top 5 destinations that tourists return to the most in Vietnam in the first half of this year include Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phu Quoc. While the 3 beach “paradises” conquer tourists with their fine white sand beaches, clear blue water and sunny resorts, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi attract tourists with their vibrant lifestyle, cultural depth and colorful local culinary map, creating a harmonious combination of relaxation and local experiences.
In addition to Vietnam, the ranking also shows destinations that attract visitors to return many times such as Bangkok (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea), Bali (Indonesia), Osaka (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan, China), Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru (Malaysia), and Hong Kong (China). The cities on this list offer a variety of attractions, from cuisine to cultural experiences, allowing visitors to explore and enjoy many new things even after multiple visits.
According to a VNA correspondent in Korea, Seoul, ranked third, boasts a high rate of repeat visitors thanks to the rapid growth of Korean culture (K-culture). With countless opportunities to experience Korean pop culture firsthand, including K-pop concerts, fan events and visits to famous K-drama filming locations, Hallyu fans from around the world continue to flock to Seoul. Major shopping streets such as Myeongdong are home to a dense concentration of cosmetic clinics, spas and trendy beauty stores, attracting more and more tourists to return to Seoul in search of beauty and health care experiences. Besides Seoul, among domestic tourist destinations in Korea, Busan, Jeju, Incheon and Daegu also ranked as the most popular repeat destinations.
