After the 4-0 victory over Indonesia U19, coach Okiyama Masahiko also acknowledged the difficulties that Vietnam U19 women's team had to face against their opponents as well as the excellent performance of the young girls when the team had not conceded any goals: "They have good physique, we also had a difficult match. However, the players completed the requirements from the coaching staff. Vietnam U19 women's team has not conceded any goals, thereby proving the effectiveness in defense".

Up until the final, the U19 women's team of Vietnam had scored 4 goals from free kicks without conceding any goals from similar situations. Coach Okiyama Masahiko was pleased with the team's progress: "We have organized many training sessions on free kicks, because set pieces can completely decide the fate of the match. The fact that we have not conceded any goals from free kicks is also a clear proof of the results of the whole team's training."

Young player Hong Minh expressed his joy when contributing to the team's overall achievement with a superb goal from a free kick in the victory against U19 women's Indonesia.

In the semi-final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship against Indonesia's U19 Women's Championship, Hong Minh's goal from 35m was the moment to break the deadlock. Sharing after the match, player number 2 said: "When I got the free kick, I felt very confident and in good shape. However, I didn't think I would score a goal like that."

Hong Minh also affirmed that this goal was the turning point of the match: “The goal helped the team feel more comfortable mentally, thereby scoring more goals. The recent journey of the U19 women's team of Vietnam has also been relatively favorable. I am proud of the home team, of the efforts that everyone worked towards, thereby winning to advance to the finals”.

The victory in this semi-final match helped Mr. Okiyama Masahiko's team advance to the final to compete for the championship with Thailand U19 women's team on June 18.
