Coach Vo Dinh Tan will return to lead Khanh Hoa Club
After many ups and downs, Khanh Hoa Club has officially confirmed that it will participate in professional tournaments in the 2024-2025 season, specifically the First Division and National Cup.
The driving force for this revival is the fact that the coastal city football team was handed over and sponsored by Khanh Viet Corporation, which was once the "milk mother" for the best performance period in history in the period 2004 - 2012, with the peak being 4th place in V-League 2010.
The first impression is that the new leadership of Khanh Hoa Club will call back coach Vo Dinh Tan to lead the coastal city team. According to Thanh Nien Newspaper, Mr. Tan has been practicing and is expected to officially sign the contract on September 22.
Two of Mr. Tan's three former assistants will return.
Mr. Tan was a former player of Khanh Hoa from 1981 to 2001 and then became the "captain" leading the coastal city team for 10 years from 2013 to 2023, before parting ways after losing 0-2 to Binh Duong Club in round 5 of V-League 2023 - 2024.
After sitting in the hot seat for the rest of last season, coach Tran Trong Binh will return to the role of assistant coach to his senior Vo Dinh Tan, alongside assistant coach Nguyen Van Dong and goalkeeper coach Ha Quoc Phong.
Coastal city football will face the opportunity to destroy and start over.
Returning to "steer" the coastal city team will be a huge challenge for coach Vo Dinh Tan, as he only has 5 old players left from last season: Duy Thanh, Ngoc Cuong, Nhat Tan, Thanh Vi, Ho, besides 8 young U.21 Khanh Hoa players who have been promoted to try out.
To be more specific, the player named Ho is the shortest name in the world . Coach Hoang Phi Ho of U.21 Dak Lak once shared: "Ho is a member of the Xe Dang ethnic minority, so his name only has one word. Ho is short but plays very skillfully and quickly". Coach Pham Minh Duc of U.21 Hanoi also praised: "The player born in 1998 always plays with high enthusiasm, he is one of the most outstanding players in the 2018 National U.21 Championship Finals".
Returning to information about Khanh Hoa team, to ensure the playing force for the 2024 - 2025 national first division season, coach Vo Dinh Tan has made a list of nearly 20 free players, not registered at V-League clubs as well as other first division clubs to try out at Khanh Hoa Club.
