Tạp chí Doanh NghiệpTạp chí Doanh Nghiệp08/10/2024

DNVN - Ericsson has just launched the EricssonEdge Academia program with the aim of revolutionizing the development of young human resources in the telecommunications sector in Southeast Asia, Oceania and India.

With the explosion of cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, AI and IoT, many studies show that technology-related jobs are growing at the fastest pace globally. To address this trend, Ericsson has designed a talent development program to support young talent entering the telecommunications industry and contribute to Ericsson’s graduate recruitment strategy in Southeast Asia, Oceania and India.

EricssonEdge Academia will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in 5G, Cloud and AI, enabling them to become leaders in the rapidly changing telecommunications landscape. Each six-month course offers an intensive learning experience for final-year students from over 40 leading universities in India, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam.

The program benefits both students and the entire telecommunications ecosystem by enhancing employability and developing industry capacity.

The programme begins with a combination of face-to-face sessions delivered by Ericsson experts, followed by online modules in the second and third months. Students will take regular tests to assess their progress and level of knowledge as they progress through the programme. These modules not only enrich the learning experience but also provide a comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge technologies, preparing students for a solid career in the telecommunications industry. Students who successfully complete the programme will have the opportunity to join the Ericsson Graduate Recruitment Program in the region.

“EricssonEdge Academia is a clear example of how industry and academia can work together to develop the next generation of telecom professionals,” said Priyanka Anand, Vice President and Head of HR, Southeast Asia, Oceania & India, Ericsson. “By equipping students with the skills they need to succeed, we are not only enhancing their career prospects, but also ensuring the continued advancement and competitiveness of the telecoms industry.”

The program will provide students with access to Ericsson training materials as well as the opportunity to interact directly with industry leaders, promising to create a solid foundation for future human resources.
