Online conference on the draft Decision of the Prime Minister on mechanisms and policies for people whose land is recovered

On the afternoon of July 17, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired an online conference with localities on the draft Decision of the Prime Minister on mechanisms and policies to solve employment and vocational training for people whose land has been recovered. Attending at the Ninh Thuan province bridge were leaders of departments, branches and localities.

The Prime Minister's Draft Decision includes 10 articles stipulating that people whose land is recovered will be supported with vocational training; supported with domestic employment; supported with loans to work abroad under contracts... The objective of issuing the Decision is to institutionalize the Party's policies, guidelines, and viewpoints; ensure the consistency, unity, and suitability of the legal system under the management and regulation of the State; meet the needs of socio -economic development, aiming to ensure sustainable employment for all workers, especially those whose land is recovered.

Discussing at the conference, delegates from central ministries, branches, provinces and cities agreed with the content of the draft Decision of the Prime Minister on the mechanism and policies for job creation and vocational training for people whose land has been recovered. Some delegates proposed amending some provisions on loan conditions; maximum loan amount; loan interest rate; supplementing policy impact assessment; clearly defining the responsibilities of provincial and municipal People's Committees in regulating support levels for target groups...

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested ministries, branches and localities to continue reviewing the subjects of support when land is recovered; reviewing the conditions and forms of support for subjects of land recovery such as: Loan support, tuition support, vocational training, job creation for subjects guaranteed according to regulations; researching more sources of support for subjects whose land is recovered; implementing well the support margin for subjects; researching more options to consider support levels for subjects on livelihood conditions; adding subjects who are students to support and give preferential loans, in order to create favorable conditions for subjects whose land is recovered...
