The event was organized by the Department of Physical Training and Sports in coordination with the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, taking place from August 2-12, to preserve the national martial arts heritage, respond to the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", and celebrate major holidays of the year.

The tournament gathered 29 units from 21 provinces, cities and sectors with more than 700 members, including 531 athletes competing in two events: Boxing (306 athletes) and combat (225 athletes), competing for 126 sets of medals.
The highlight of this year's tournament is that the organization is standardized in a professional and modern direction, but still preserves national identity. The ceremonies are performed solemnly according to tradition. The referees must perform the form before each event to test their professional level, ensuring fairness and objectivity when scoring.
