On the evening of December 11, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance chaired and coordinated with a number of ministries, branches and relevant agencies to honor typical cooperative products and award the Mai An Tiem Award for the first time in 2024 to 100 typical cooperatives nationwide. These are the most typical products among 920 products of 615 cooperatives nationwide participating in the vote in 2024. Hai Duong has only Lo Cuong Rice Paper Production and Packaging Cooperative ( Hai Duong City) to receive this award.
Lo Cuong rice paper products meet 4-star OCOP standards, have prestige, quality, competitiveness, a large consumer market, and are trusted by consumers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh highly appreciated the initiative of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance in organizing the Ceremony to honor typical cooperative products and the creative idea of the first Mai An Tiem Award - a place to honor the annual creative labor achievements of cooperatives nationwide. This is an innovation in thinking to promptly concretize the Party's policy on rewarding, honoring and replicating effective collective economic organizations.
It is even more meaningful when the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance strives to build and organize the first Award ceremony just nearly 1 month after the General Assembly of the International Cooperative Alliance launched the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 and called on United Nations member countries to organize celebrations in all forms to promote the contribution of cooperatives to economic and social development, implementing sustainable development goals for a better world.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh congratulated and commended 100 cooperatives with outstanding products receiving the first Mai An Tiem Award. According to Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, looking at the list of honored products, one can clearly see the dedication, creativity and sense of responsibility of the cooperatives to the community and the country in creating products that have both economic value and cultural and spiritual value, imbued with regional cultural identity, and have the ability to lead and spread strongly in the context of the country entering a new era. This is the clearest evidence affirming the important contribution of cooperatives to the cause of building a developed, modern, independent, autonomous and internationally integrated Vietnamese economy...
Mai An Tiem Award is an award to recognize and honor products of cooperatives and cooperative unions with prestige, quality, competitiveness, large consumer market, trusted by consumers, and positive contributions to the development of the collective economic sector and cooperatives.
