(GLO)- Within the framework of the working program in the Republic of India, during 2 days (June 26 and 27), the working delegation of Gia Lai province led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep had working sessions with trade associations, tourism associations and investors of Tamil Nadu state to explore cooperation, linkage and investment opportunities between the two localities.

The delegation included representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and enterprises.
Tamil Nadu is the 11th largest state in India in terms of area and the 6th in population, with the 2nd largest economy in the country with potentials and advantages similar to Gia Lai province such as high-tech agriculture, processing industry, renewable energy... This is also a locality with many natural resources, historical and religious architectural works, multi-religious pilgrimage sites, and world heritage sites.
The delegation had working sessions with the Department of Tourism, chambers of commerce, and business representatives to provide information on the characteristics of the situation, potential strengths, investment attraction policies, and investment calling projects; connect and cooperate in the fields of high-tech agriculture, agricultural product import and export, supply and consumption of medicinal products, raw materials for the production of environmental treatment products, etc.

The delegation visited and worked at the Apollo Multinational Healthcare Group - one of the leading healthcare groups in the region - with 70 satellite hospitals, 10,000 beds, 2,200 pharmacies, Madras University established in 1857, one of the leading universities in India; Indian Institute of Technology - Madras (IIT Madras)...
Thereby, the two sides, especially enterprises, exchanged information and noted the contents that can be linked and implemented in the coming time such as: export-import of agricultural products and pharmaceuticals; opening tourism tours combined with relaxation, medical examination and treatment; supporting the improvement of medical staff qualifications, online diagnosis and medical examination and treatment; online training, providing some applications in the field of information technology.
In Tamil Nadu state, the delegation also attended the festival and visited the Indian Small and Medium Enterprises Exhibition 2023.

Tomorrow, June 28, the delegation will attend the 2023 Trade Conference organized by the Telangana State Government. Here, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Mah Tiep will give a speech introducing the potential, strengths, and investment cooperation opportunities of Gia Lai province to about 200 Indian and international businesses.
