Hungary is an important partner of Vietnam in expanding cultural exchanges.

On August 20, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam – Hungary Friendship Association solemnly held the Hungarian National Day Celebration. The Hungarian National Day Celebration is an occasion to honor the independence and freedom of Hungary, and to celebrate the special milestone of 74 years of relations between the two countries. This is also an important opportunity for members of the Vietnam – Hungary Friendship Association to meet, exchange and share experiences.

At the ceremony, guests listened to a report on the remarkable achievements of the Friendship Association in recent times, emphasizing the active cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary.

Mr. Lehőcz Gábor, Consul General - Consulate General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City affirmed: "Celebrating National Day today is an important occasion for us to look back at the achievements that our two countries have achieved over the years. The Vietnam - Hungary relationship is not only a diplomatic relationship, but also a special friendship between the two peoples. We are committed to continuing to develop this relationship, strengthening cooperation in many fields, from economy, culture to education."

At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Le Minh Triet - Chairman of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association shared: "Today, we not only celebrate Hungary's National Day but also celebrate the strong relationship between Vietnam and Hungary. We are proud of the successful cooperation projects in many fields, and wish to continue expanding cooperation to bring practical benefits to both sides. Vietnam always considers Hungary an important partner in economic development and expanding cultural exchanges."

According to Mr. Le Minh Triet, over the past decades, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary has continuously developed. The common values of peace , development and mutual understanding have helped our two countries connect and cooperate in many fields, from economy, culture, education to science and technology.

Over the past time, the Vietnam – Hungary Friendship Association has made many positive contributions to people-to-people diplomacy activities. The Association always focuses on expanding and developing the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary. Through its activities, the Association has introduced the image of the country and people of Vietnam to Hungarian friends in particular and international friends in general.

In the coming time, the Vietnam – Hungary Friendship Association pledges to continue its efforts to further promote the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, while creating many opportunities for members to exchange, learn and develop themselves. With its vision and determination, the Association will grow stronger and make positive contributions to the development of the Vietnam – Hungary relationship, which will develop better and better, worthy of the Comprehensive Partnership that the two countries established in 2018.
