Phuc Tho district launches "Cashless payment market" model

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Phuc Tho District People's Committee Kieu Trong Sy said that the theme of National Digital Transformation Day 2024 is "Universalizing digital infrastructure and innovating digital applications to develop the digital economy - New driving force for economic growth and labor productivity".

The series of activities lasts from October 2024 to January 2025, focusing on propaganda, guidance, and support for people and businesses to apply digital platforms, online services, etc. The goal is to successfully carry out the digital transformation tasks assigned by Hanoi City in 2024, responding to National Digital Transformation Day and Hanoi Digital Transformation Day.

In order for the Digital Transformation work in the district to achieve many important results, completing the targets and tasks in 2024, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district, Kieu Trong Sy, requested agencies, units, People's Committees of communes, towns, villages, residential groups, and community digital transformation groups to strengthen propaganda work; actively implement targets and tasks on digital transformation.

The cashless payment market model is being piloted at Bun market (Phung Thuong commune).

The representative of Phuc Tho district's leadership also proposed to promote the volunteer role of the Youth Union, the responsible role of the community digital transformation teams in the area; propagate and guide people to gradually change their awareness and respond to digital transformation activities.

Actively coordinate with relevant units to encourage businesses to attach QR codes for cashless payments; promote online shopping and online payments; disseminate and support people to install and use digital products and services and digital payments; provide guidance on safety skills in the digital environment...

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Phuc Tho district organized the launch of the "Cashless payment market" model at Bun Market (Phung Thuong commune), to create conditions for traders and people to be able to exchange, buy and sell all items when paying without using cash but only by scanning QR codes or transferring money via phone numbers on digital applications or internet banking accounts when making transactions.

The implementation of the model also aims to innovate and promote digital transformation and information technology application in Phuc Tho district in business activities of buying, selling and cashless payment at Bun market in particular and in the whole district in general in the coming time.
