On January 21, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) of Yen Mo district organized the "Red Sunday" Blood Donation Festival with the message "Donate blood - give life". Many volunteers in the district participated in the VBD.
In order for the blood donation festival to achieve high results, the District Blood Donation Mobilization Committee has developed a plan and specific content, and at the same time widely deployed it to implementing units. The "Red Sunday" blood donation festival has attracted over 350 volunteers to register to participate in voluntary blood donation. As a result, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital has received 300 units of blood. This valuable blood source will be used promptly in emergency and treatment for patients in need of blood at medical facilities in the area.
In recent years, the voluntary blood donation movement in Yen Mo district has received attention and active participation from the Party Committee, government, units and the response of all classes of people. In 2023, the total amount of blood donated in the voluntary blood donation campaigns of Yen Mo district reached 1,000 units, exceeding the assigned target. This valuable source of donated blood was promptly supplemented to the blood reserves of medical facilities in the province and some central hospitals to perform treatment, emergency care, and bring life to patients.
