(GLO)- On the morning of May 31, in Kim Tan commune, the Standing Committee of Ia Pa District Youth Union ( Gia Lai province) organized the launching ceremony of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign and responded to the Month of Action for Children 2023.

With the spirit of "Wherever there is a need, there are youth, wherever there is difficulty, there are youth", the "Summer Youth Volunteer" campaign is an opportunity for Ia Pa youth to promote the spirit of shock and volunteerism in participating in socio -economic development, building new rural areas, ensuring social security, national defense and security. This year, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign will take place from May to October 2023 with 7 specific targets and implementing the Exam Season Counseling and Support program, the campaigns: Green Summer, Red Flamboyant Flowers, Pink Vacation, Green March, Red Summer Blood Drops.
At the launching ceremony, Ia Pa District Youth Union launched an online quiz contest to learn about the Resolution of the 15th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Gia Lai province (term 2022-2027) and launched two volunteer teams: Consulting - Supporting exam season and Pink vacation.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union presented 10 gifts to orphans and disabled children in Kim Tan commune. At the same time, a bicycle was presented by Mr. Do Duy Nam - Deputy Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union to Kpa Nguyen (student of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School) for his brave act of saving a drowning person.
Immediately after the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union deployed response activities such as: Training on accident prevention, drowning in children and fire prevention and fighting skills for Kim Tan commune's youth; deploying to put up warning signs to prevent drowning in ponds and lakes; The Pink Vacation Youth Volunteer Team joined Kim Tan Commune Police to organize community digital transformation and guide the installation of VNeID application at Kim Tan Commune Police headquarters.
