Military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the video was filmed by the military last Friday as a forensic team investigated the hostages' deaths. The video was released to the public on Tuesday.

Video of tunnel released by Israeli Army
Six hostages were killed on the night of August 29, Hagari said. Their bodies were found and recovered by Israeli soldiers in the Rafah area of southern Gaza about two days later.
Mr Hagari said at least two Hamas gunmen shot them dead in the tunnel, which was 20 metres underground but only 170cm high and about 80cm wide. The tunnel had an escape shaft used by militants, underneath a children’s room in a house.
The hostages may have been held in the dank tunnel, where it was difficult to breathe and stand upright, for some time, possibly weeks, Mr Hagari said.

Video shows Kalashnikov rifle cartridges, plastic bags filled with urine bottles and a bucket in a hole used as a toilet. Women's clothing is scattered on the ground.
Israeli troops were fighting Hamas militants on the ground in the area at the time the hostages were killed, Hagari said. The six hostages killed were two women and four men aged between 23 and 40.
Efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza that would include a deal to release hostages have stalled, with Israel and Hamas blaming each other for the standoff. Large protests took place in Israel last week demanding the government do more to free them.
According to Israeli statistics, Hamas militants took about 250 foreign and Israeli hostages in the attack on October 7. After more than 100 were freed or rescued, about 100 hostages remain in Gaza, at least a third of whom are believed to be dead.
