Some Korean travel companies have contacted to survey and deploy diving tours in Quang Ninh , expanding products for tourists from this country.

According to the representative of the People's Committee of Co To district, some Korean enterprises have contacted the People's Committee of the district about surveying and building a diving tour on Thanh Lan island. The implementation will be discussed in more detail by both sides in the near future. In the North, currently, only Thanh Lan island of Co To district has a diving tour.

In addition to scuba diving in Co To, tours to experience seafood fishing and explore mangrove forests in Van Don and Ha Long are also of interest to Korean travel agencies.

Thanh Lan Island, in Thanh Lan Commune, is the largest island in Co To District with an area of 27 km2, about 4 km from the large Co To Island. On the island, there are about 1,200 people living mainly by fishing.

Korean travel agencies said that the survey to open diving tours or other experiences aims to expand tourism products for Korean visitors to Quang Ninh.

In addition, some businesses in Quang Ninh are also taking steps to "welcome" Korean tourists. In Bai Chay, Quang Ninh, a Korean walking street with K-Food (Korean cuisine), K-Fashion (Korean fashion ) and K-Beauty (Korean beauty) areas is being built.

South Korea is currently Vietnam's largest international tourist market. In the first 9 months of 2023, the number of South Korean visitors to Vietnam reached 2.58 million. In 2022, South Korean visitors also held the top position with nearly 770,000 out of 3.66 million international visitors to Vietnam.
