Western tourists wearing red flag shirts with yellow stars, hoarsely cheering for Vietnam

At 8pm, the second leg of the ASEAN Cup final between Vietnam and Thailand officially kicked off at Rajamangala Stadium (Thailand). Hours before, a large crowd of locals and foreign tourists, wearing red shirts with yellow stars and banners, poured into Ta Hien Street to cheer on the Vietnamese team. Luke (British) and Ellinor (Finnish) had seen images of Vietnamese people "going crazy" on the Internet. On their first day in Hanoi, they bought two shirts with the red flag with a yellow star to celebrate with fans after the match if Vietnam won the championship. Couple Maria and Alex from Italy squeezed through the crowd on Ta Hien Street to cheer for the Vietnamese team. They were impressed by the more exciting atmosphere than when watching football in their home country and predicted the score would be 2-1 in favor of Vietnam. "In Italy, every time there is a football match, we usually go to a pub or stay at home instead of going out on the streets like this.
