On December 19, at Phung Khac Khoan Flower Garden Square, the center of Thach That district, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the People's Committee of Thach That district to organize the opening of the Week of consulting, introducing and promoting the consumption of OCOP products, craft villages, agricultural products, and safe food in 2024.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Hanoi New Rural Area Coordination Office, said that Hanoi is a "land of hundreds of occupations" with 1,350 craft villages and villages with occupations; 1,090 agricultural cooperatives in operation; 1,695 farms; 149 production and consumption chains; more than 164 high-tech application models, more than 13,000 agricultural, forestry and fishery products have been granted traceability codes (QRCode)...

Since 2019, the city has evaluated and certified 3,021 OCOP products. In 2024, the city will continue to evaluate and classify about 500 products, aiming to support OCOP entities in developing and improving the value and quality of products, meeting the increasing demands of consumers in the capital, domestically and for export.

To introduce OCOP products, craft villages, agricultural products, and safe food to consumers in the capital, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the People's Committee of Thach That district, departments, branches, units, and enterprises to organize the introduction of agricultural products, contributing to connecting trade, helping people access OCOP products, and safe, quality products. According to Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach That district Phung Khac Son, Thach That district has 50/59 craft villages, of which 10 craft villages are recognized by Hanoi. The whole district currently has 188 OCOP products with 3-4 stars, of which 68 products have 3 stars, 120 products have 4 stars; there are 2,447 enterprises, 11,429 production and business households. In 2024, the total production value in the district is estimated at 88,409 billion VND, equal to 109% of the annual plan and an increase of 15.3% compared to 2023.

The week takes place from December 18 to 22 with a scale of 50 booths, more than 500 OCOP products which are regional specialties of Hanoi and provinces and cities across the country.
