Khiem Lang - Tu Duc Tomb was built by King Tu Duc when he was still in power, with many architectural works like a miniature royal palace, surrounded by a wall built of mountain stone about 1.5km long...

The content on King Tu Duc's Khiem Cung Ky Stele includes 5 main parts.

Part 1: Writes about the king's youth. Since he was young, he showed intelligence and knew how to respond to poetry, so his father loved him more than his other children and intended to pass the throne. However, the king's health was not good, and he contracted smallpox when he was nearly twenty years old.

Part 2: Expressing the king's thoughts on some important events of the country and the court. Ascending to the throne at a very young age, his health was poor, the country was facing invasion, the king had to punish his brother because he had to take the country seriously. The loss of Nam Ky, causing the people to suffer, was also a crime the king had to bear. But in the situation of lazy and unmotivated mandarins, even if the king wanted to protect the country, he could not solve anything. This worry made the king even more depressed, and he had to consider building a mausoleum.

Part 3: Explain the significance of choosing the construction site, the relationship with other surrounding structures in terms of family relationships and feng shui. The king named the entire area Khiem Cung, after the king passed away it was changed to Khiem Lang. The structures in this area all carry the word Khiem. The officers, soldiers, and workers who participated in the construction of the mausoleum were all paid fairly.

Part 4: Expresses the king's opinions about himself and some of his views on life. The king considers himself a shy person, not very sociable, but a person who values morality, believes in the principles of heaven, uses sincerity to deal with all matters, and uses humility to fulfill his duties.

Part 5: The conclusion, affirming that these are the contents expressing the king's heart and his personal thoughts, not focusing on literary value. If future generations cannot understand when reading, do not be bothered.
