Survey on the living conditions of female workers in Hanoi

(HNMO) - On June 11, the Hanoi City Labor Federation (HLF) informed that the Trade Union organization will preside over, coordinate and inspect the implementation of policies and regimes for female workers at enterprises in Hanoi.

At the same time, the City Labor Federation surveyed the living conditions and implementation of the right to raise and care for children of female migrant workers in industrial and export processing zones.

Hanoi City Labor Federation visits and grasps the living conditions of workers in the health sector.

Accordingly, Trade Unions at all levels will organize inspections and supervision of the implementation of regimes and policies for female workers at enterprises; can coordinate with interdisciplinary inspection teams of districts, towns or comprehensive inspection teams of trade union activities, grasp the situation of female workers at enterprises and the results of implementing the provisions of the 2012 Labor Code; the 2014 Law on Social Insurance and Decree No. 145/2020/ND-CP dated December 14, 2020 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Labor Code, women's work activities, implementation of the Law on Gender Equality of grassroots trade unions as well as listening to proposals and recommendations of the unit.

On that basis, orient the Women's Union of grassroots trade unions of enterprises, especially those with a large number of female workers, on more beneficial contents according to the law for female workers, to advise the executive committee of the same-level trade union in negotiating and signing collective labor agreements.

Regarding the survey of the living conditions and implementation of the right to raise and care for young children of female migrant workers in industrial and export processing zones, trade unions at all levels focused on surveying issues such as: Housing conditions, child care and education conditions; nursery and school services for workers' children and other public services; number of female migrant workers; number of female workers with children under 18 and under 6 years old; number of female workers living with their children, number of female workers sending their children back to their hometowns for relatives to take care of, reasons for sending their children back to their hometowns; number of female workers who are single mothers, divorced...
