On the evening of January 15, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc City (HCMC) held a preliminary review of 3 years of implementing the movement "Thu Duc with love - Serving the people" and met with intellectuals, businessmen and outstanding overseas Vietnamese in the area.
Attending the Conference were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thuy - Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep, Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee and Mr. Tran Quoc Trung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Huu Phuoc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc City, said that after more than 3 years of implementation, the movement "Thu Duc - Serving the people" has gathered and promoted the spirit of solidarity and creativity of the entire political system and all classes of people in the city.
During the Covid-19 pandemic prevention period, the spirit of "Serving the people" has urged more than 750,000 cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, and soldiers of the city's armed forces to volunteer to rush into the epidemic center with the frontline forces to participate in the task of preventing and fighting the epidemic in each key area, in the reception areas, on every road... all to serve the people.
Promoting the achievements, the City Party Committee, government and Fatherland Front of Thu Duc City continue to widely spread the movement, especially the peak emulation period of 500 days of emulation to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
At the Conference, the Organizing Committee also organized an exchange with typical examples in the emulation movement "Thu Duc - Serving the People", with the participation of Specialist II Doctor Tran Van Khanh, Director of Le Van Thinh Hospital; Lieutenant Colonel Luu Phuong Nam - Outstanding Citizen of Thu Duc City in 2024; Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy - Outstanding Citizen of Thu Duc City in 2024 and Mr. Vo Tri Dung - Head of the Compensation and Site Clearance Board of Thu Duc City.
The conference also announced the decision of the Standing Committee of Thu Duc City Party Committee to award certificates of merit to 38 collectives actively implementing the movement "Thu Duc with love - Serving the people".
On this occasion, the City Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc City met and presented gifts to intellectual delegates, experts, scientists , front officials, businessmen and overseas Vietnamese in the area.
