Victory over AS Roma for a seventh Europa League title still did not help Sevilla escape the alarming financial reality, leaving the entire first-team squad up for sale.

Sevilla's 2022/23 campaign has been filled with highs and lows. They were also in danger of being relegated from La Liga, but they ended it on a high note: winning the Europa League again after beating Mourinho's Roma on penalties (1-1 after 120 minutes).

The victory provided a huge morale boost, opening the way for a Champions League campaign ahead, but it did little to help Sevilla escape the harsh reality of their dire financial situation.

According to Radio MARCA, Club President Pepe Castro has informed Sevilla's owner that the club is in debt of 90 million euros.

This source added that, due to the difficult situation, any member of the Europa League winning squad could be sold in the summer transfer window.

Sevilla need to sell players to solve urgent financial issues, so just a few faces from the squad are not enough. Big names like Youssef En-Nesyri, Yassine Bounou and Lucas Ocampos are the first to be "named".

The Europa League champions are said to have contacted clubs across Europe to "offer" the club, with MU being "prioritized" with the assessment that they can help them resolve the issue more quickly.
