According to citizens' feedback, from 2024 to present, in the vacant land area along Provincial Road 835 (opposite Minh Vu motel, near Phuoc Lam Primary School), there has been a situation of dumping large amounts of soil continuously, using many large-tonnage vehicles such as excavators and dump trucks.
This causes dust and noise pollution, seriously affecting the environment and the lives of people living nearby. People are even more upset when trucks continuously enter and exit this land lot, dumping and transporting soil, causing it to fall along the nearby road, endangering other road users.
People want authorities at all levels to handle the situation thoroughly, to avoid the recurrence of dumping soil causing pollution, affecting the lives, production, activities and travel of the community.
Regarding the above information, on June 18, 2025, the People's Committee of Phuoc Lam commune coordinated with relevant agencies to conduct a field inspection in the reported area.
Verification results show that the dumping site belongs to Mr. Tran Thanh Hung (born in 1974, residing in Thuan Dong hamlet, Thuan Thanh commune, Can Giuoc district, Long An province).
However, according to the People's Committee of the commune, the above land plot has not yet completed the procedures for registering the business of construction materials and leveling.
Therefore, the People's Committee of Phuoc Lam commune requested to stop the gathering of materials at the above location. At the same time, requested the organization to clear the vehicles and gathered materials from the area and return the land to its original state.
The Commune People's Committee also emphasized that it will continue to closely monitor and supervise compliance with traffic safety and environmental regulations in the above area in the coming time./.
