On the afternoon of November 10, Mr. Trinh Vinh Thanh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Go Vap District, said that Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School had held a disciplinary council meeting and reported on the disciplinary measures for the students involved in the incident of a female student beating up a classmate in the restroom.

Specifically, the 3 9th grade students (3 female students who beat their friend) are YN, XM, DT, who had poor conduct in the first semester. Among them, there is a student who transferred schools, and the file will also be transferred to the new school for processing.

GP student (grade 9/9 and the person who shared the clip) also received poor conduct in the first semester. The 7th grade female student who stood guard at the door and the 8th grade female student who filmed the clip received disciplinary action for not meeting the training requirements in the first semester.

Mr. Thanh added that although TV in the clip was the victim, the previous school year he had also beaten his friend and in October 2023 he continued to beat his friend, so he received disciplinary action for not meeting the training requirements in the first semester.

The leader of the Go Vap District Department of Education and Training also said that the school does not apply the form of suspension because this is a form that is not approved by public opinion and is not encouraged by educational experts.

In addition to the above disciplinary measures, according to the leader of the Go Vap District Department of Education and Training, within 2 weeks, during recess in the morning and afternoon, these students will have to go to the school library to read books, especially books on ethics, under the supervision of teachers. After that, they will record their feelings about each book.

"After 2 weeks of reading, every Monday during the flag salute ceremony, these students will take turns telling a moral story in front of the whole school. This is a form of education to help students become self-aware and educate themselves," Mr. Thanh emphasized.

Previously, from the morning of November 7, a clip spread on social media about a female student being beaten and punched by other female students.

According to the reporter's investigation, this 50-second clip was filmed in the restroom of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City).

In the clip, 3 female students take turns punching and kicking another female student in the head and face in the school restroom. Notably, these students also assigned another female student to stand guard at the door. While beating their friend, the group of female students laughed and joked. Even when the victim was knocked to the bathroom floor, her friend still grabbed her hair and continued to punch her. The female student who was beaten by her friend just held her head and endured the beating.
