“Mother’s Flower Season” is a meaningful program held to commemorate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025). One of the highlights of the program was when record holder, sand artist Nguyen Tien drew a tribute to heroic martyrs.
Through each delicate stroke on the sand combined with soulful resistance music , the male artist revived memories of a time of bombs and bullets, reviving the image of resilient children who left for national independence.
Each performance touched the hearts of hundreds of audiences, especially young people, thereby contributing to arousing gratitude and national pride.
Not only commemorating the fallen, the program is also a touching message to today's generation: Let's follow in our ancestors' footsteps and build our country to become stronger and more powerful.
In particular, through his works, the male artist wants to widely propagate to young people the humanistic values of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), while promoting the fine traditions of "remembering the source when drinking water" and "remembering the person who planted the tree when eating fruit" of the Vietnamese people.
"When I received the invitation to perform with a historical theme, I was very happy. In the past, I have always pursued works with historical themes. For me, being able to contribute to conveying historical values through art is a great honor that cannot be compared to anything else," said the male artist.
Painter Nguyen Tien is a Vietnamese record holder in sand painting. He has created unique works on stage using many different materials such as fire, glitter, electric paintings, knives, sand...
He is also known as a pioneer in the development of sand painting and contributed to bringing this art to a wide audience.
“Mother’s Waiting Flower Season” is a program produced by a group of students in Ho Chi Minh City. The program is like a touching message of gratitude from the young generation to mothers, symbols of sacrifice and waiting throughout history.
Besides the sand competition, the program also featured a Vovinam martial arts dance performance "Uncle Ho's Generation Youth", a short play depicting a mother's feelings waiting for her child, and contemporary dance "The Road Forward"... In particular, the medley ended with the song "Continuing the Story of Peace " leaving a deep impression in the hearts of the audience.
