Lang Son: Average number of vehicles cleared through customs is about 1,100 - 1,350 vehicles/day

According to the latest report of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board, the total number of vehicles transporting export and import goods through border gates in the province on December 14, 2023 reached 1,327 vehicles.

Of which, the number of vehicles carrying export goods: 476 vehicles (including 331 fruit vehicles, 145 other goods vehicles); the number of imported vehicles: 851 vehicles; the number of vehicles carrying export goods remaining as of 8:00 p.m. on December 14, 2023 is 126 vehicles (including 70 fruit vehicles, 56 other goods vehicles).

Specifically, at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, the total number of vehicles transporting export and import goods through customs clearance reached 716 vehicles, of which the number of vehicles transporting export goods: 123 vehicles, the number of vehicles transporting import goods: 593 vehicles.

At Tan Thanh sub-border gate, the total number of vehicles transporting export and import goods through customs clearance reached 511 vehicles, of which the number of vehicles carrying export goods: 330 vehicles; the number of vehicles carrying import goods: 181 vehicles.

According to the People's Committee of Lang Son province, in 2023, the border gate economy will continue to develop, creating momentum to promote the province's economic growth. The province has implemented the adjustment of the overall master plan for the construction of Dong Dang - Lang Son border gate economic zone until 2030; the adjustment of the master plan for the construction of the main border gate area of Chi Ma, Loc Binh district until 2045; and the partial adjustment of the planning of Binh Nghi border gate, Trang Dinh district.

Infrastructure at border gates continues to be invested and completed; investors are urged to speed up the implementation of projects on Cargo Transit Zone and Export Processing Zone 1.

In addition, submit to the Prime Minister the pilot project to build a smart border gate on the specialized route for transporting goods in the area of landmarks 1119 - 1120 and the customs clearance area of landmarks 1088/2 - 1089 of Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan International Border Gate.

Notably, in 2023, the province has restored customs clearance activities at Na Hinh border gate, entry and exit activities through Chi Ma border gate, bringing the total number of border gates operating in the province to 6, including: Huu Nghi international border gate, Dong Dang railway station; Chi Ma main border gate; Tan Thanh, Coc Nam, Na Hinh sub-border gates.

Accordingly, the average number of vehicles cleared through customs is about 1,100 - 1,350 vehicles/day. The total import-export turnover through the province in 2023 increased sharply compared to 2022, estimated at 4,780 million USD, reaching 125.8% of the plan, up 56.2%. Of which, exports were 2,730 million USD, reaching 210% of the plan, up 166.9%; imports were 2,050 million USD, reaching 82% of the plan, up 0.6%.

In addition, commercial activities were more vibrant than the same period, the market of goods and services was basically stable and developed, meeting production and consumption needs. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue was 35,128.4 billion VND, reaching 130.6% of the plan, up 27% over the same period.

Transportation activities were relatively stable, meeting the needs of import and export, freight transport and people's travel; revenue from transportation and warehousing was VND 2,368.6 billion, reaching 159.3% of the plan, up 19% over the same period.
