Quang Ninh Provincial leaders received Cuban delegation

On the morning of August 5, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives of a number of relevant departments and branches, welcomed the Cuban delegation led by Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise, Charge d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam, on the occasion of the delegation's visit to Quang Ninh.

At the reception, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, sent her warmest welcome to Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise and the Cuban delegation who visited Quang Ninh province. Briefly introducing some key features of the potential, advantages and achievements of Quang Ninh province in recent years to Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise and the delegation, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed her hope that in the coming time, Quang Ninh and Cuban localities will establish cooperative relations in some key contents such as delegation exchanges, investment and trade cooperation, exchange and support in the sectors and fields of strength of both sides.

Emphasizing the good, deep, and sincere friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, the Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee proposed educational cooperation by considering granting scholarships to Cuban students to study at Ha Long University; supporting Cuba in advertising and promotion; suggesting that tourism and travel businesses in the province research and open tours and routes to Cuba; supporting Cuba in some industries and fields in which Quang Ninh has strengths... Thereby, gradually establishing increasingly deep and quality relationships and cooperation with Cuban localities, contributing to enhancing the good relationship between Vietnam and Cuba.

In order to expand the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Cuba in general, the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam will study and propose Cuban localities with similar characteristics to Quang Ninh to establish a comprehensive cooperative relationship between the two localities; at the same time, connect Cuban and Quang Ninh localities to explore opportunities for extensive exchange and cooperation in sectors and fields such as tourism services, culture, health, high-tech agriculture , biotechnology, etc.

The Charge d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam respectfully invited the leaders of Quang Ninh province to visit Cuba; proposed to study the establishment of the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association in Quang Ninh province; opened a business forum for businesses of both sides to study investment cooperation opportunities, establish bilateral incentives for mutual development. Thereby, promoting more strongly and substantially the close and friendly cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Cuba and between Quang Ninh province and Cuban localities.
