On July 18, Mr. Hoang Viet Trung - Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that the unit has just completed the installation of a fence at the Thai Hoa Palace relic ( Hue Imperial City) made of tempered glass to protect the treasures and artifacts on display here.

Along with that, the center has also re-divided the entrance/exit to visit Thai Hoa Palace. Specifically, visitors will not move horizontally to look directly at the main hall as before, but will follow 2 parallel paths adjacent to the East/West wings of Thai Hoa Palace to go to the back of the palace.

This is the tourist route that was used before the restoration of Thai Hoa Palace.

The tempered glass fence is 1.5m high and over 21m long on each side. Currently, more than 10 surveillance cameras have been installed at the Thai Hoa Palace relic site.

Along with installing tempered glass fences, the Thai Hoa Palace area also divides visitors into two parallel paths adjacent to the East-West wings.

The leader of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that along with installing hard fences, the unit has also equipped an automatic warning system to alert when people approach the displayed artifacts.

Not only at Thai Hoa Palace, but also at An Dinh Palace, Dien Tho Palace... these warning devices are installed.

Previously, at noon on May 24, Ho Van Phuong Tam, while visiting Thai Hoa Palace, damaged the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty Throne.

This relic also displays many other valuable artifacts, including the national treasure of a pair of dragons from the Thieu Tri period.

Installing tempered glass fences and re-routing the visiting area at Thai Hoa Palace ensures safety for the relics and exhibits on display at the relics and is convenient and suitable for visitors.
