After eight weeks of release, the family comedy Lilo & Stitch has achieved global success with a total of $1.001 billion. In North America, the film earned $416.1 million, while revenue from other countries was $584.8 million. However, the Chinese blockbuster Na Zha 2 still leads with $1.899 billion in 2025.

Moana 2 , also released by Disney, became a billion-dollar box office hit last Thanksgiving after the studio adapted the animated sequel for the first time to the big screen.
With that achievement, Walt Disney Studios has released many billion-dollar films in just the past 13 months, including Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2 .
"A huge thank you to the filmmakers, cast and entire studio team for making this film such a success, and we look forward to the next adventures with these characters," said Disney Entertainment co-chairman Alan Bergman.
Lilo & Stitch opened in late May with a domestic gross of $183 million and a global gross of $341 million in just four days. It held the No. 1 spot for three consecutive weeks and became one of only two films this year (the other being Warner Bros.' video game adaptation A Minecraft Movie ) to cross the $400 million mark at the North American box office. At one point, A Minecraft Movie was expected to be the year's first billion-dollar blockbuster, but it ended up with $955 million worldwide .

In the case of Lilo & Stitch , top international markets include Mexico ($67 million), the UK ($49 million) and France ($42.5 million).
Even though it’s been 23 years since the animated film Lilo & Stitch hit theaters in 2002, the character’s appeal on toy shelves has never waned. In 2024, Disney sold $2.6 billion worth of consumer products featuring the Lilo & Stitch duo. Now, with a whole new generation getting to know the mischievous characters, sales are expected to continue to skyrocket throughout the holiday season.
Lilo & Stitch, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and produced by Rideback, tells the story of a cute blue alien that crashes in Hawaii and is adopted by a young girl and her sister. Disney announced a live-action sequel is in the works. In Vietnam, the film earned VND34.2 billion.
